The Chief Legal Counsel is responsible for the development and
coordination of enforcement cases with the USEPA, Illinois Office
of the Attorney General, and local state's attorneys. The Chief
Legal Counsel is also involved with the development of both legislative
and regulatory proposals and provides legal advice and interpretations
on environmental issues to the Agency.
The Chief of Legislative Affairs coordinates the Agency's legislative
agenda, tracks the many pieces of environmental legislation that
are introduced into the legislature each year, responds to constituent
requests and complaints, and works closely with legislators and
their staffs on environmental issues.
