Downloading Jinitiator

In June 2009, updates were made to the ERMS Online Transaction Requests link. If this is your first visit since then, you will be asked to download Jinitiator to your PC. You will only have to do this once.

Google Toolbar Incompatibility

Unfortunately, there is an incompatibility between Jinitiator and the Google Toolbar. If you have the Google Toolbar installed, follow these steps to temporarily disable it (in Internet Explorer 7):

1. From your browser's menu, select Tools >> Manage Add-ons >> Enable or Disable Add-ons....
2. In the "Manage Add-ons" window, at the "Show:" prompt, select ""Add-ons that have been used by Internet Explorer".
3. Select "Google Toolbar".
4. Slect the "Disable" radio button.
5. Click "OK".
6. Close your browser.
7. Restart your browser.

After you are done with the ERMS Online Transaction Requests application, perform the above steps again, select "Enable" in step 4, to re-enable the Google Toolbar.

Search Result Pop-ups Not Appearing

When you do a search within the ERMS Online Transaction Requests application, if nothing seems to happen, it is likely that pop-up windows aren't being displayed. If you are using Internet Explorer 7, you might have set an option to open pop-ups in tabs. If so, you might have to switch back to your main browser window to check for a tab containing the search results. You can avoid this by temporarily telling Internet Explorer 7 not to open pop-ups in tabs. Here's how:

1. From your browser's menu, select Tools >> Internet Options.
2. In the "Internet Options " window, in the "Tabs" section, select "Settings".
3. For "When a pop-up is encountered:", select "Always open pop-ups in a new window".
4. Click "OK".

After you are done with the ERMS Online Transaction Requests application, perform the above steps again, selecting your desired setting in step 3, to return to the previous behavior.

We check the site daily. While talking with others having this problem, we have come up with one possible solution to the problem of accessing the web site.

• The reports, average price and online transactions portions of this site access a database. We think that firewalls on your end (not the Agency's end) are blocking port 7777. Please contact your computer support staff to have this port unblocked.
