Citizens' Information CenterFind Local ServicesIn partnership with Earth 911, a simple input of your zip code will provide a wide range of local services, where to find them and what they offer. Find services such as recycling and reuse centers, household hazardous waste collection sites, electronics recycling, used oil recycling, paint recycling and disposal, battery recycling, and used tire collections. Earth 911 is a non-profit organization created for the purpose of providing environmental education and awareness. Partners include U.S. EPA, the National Governors’ Association, and state and local governments. Illinois EPA sponsored services - The Illinois EPA coordinates one-day household hazardous waste collections and waste tire collections. See the household hazardous waste collection schedule and the waste tire collection schedule for details. The Partners for Waste Paint Solutions, a partnership between Illinois EPA and interested organizations, provides local sites for citizens to bring unused paint for recycling or reuse. Locally Sponsored Electronic Recycling Services - In Illinois, residents can recycle their electronic waste through a growing network of public and private drop off sites. A list of registered collectors, recyclers, and refurbishers of electronic waste is provided. You can also view more information regarding electronic waste recycling.
