New Sludge Process Video Nearing Completion

Move over, dotted dogs; feisty filimentatious bacteria are new video stars.

A second video dealing with activated sludge processes is being readied for distribution by the Illinois Environmental Protection Agency. Prepared by Dr. Michael Richard, it covers more than 20 of the most common and troublesome filaments in the activated sludge process.

Those interested in obtaining complimentary copies may contact Chuck Corley at the Illinois EPA, BoW/WPC, Rockford Regional Office, 4302 N. Main St., Rockford, Ill. 61103.

A previous video, "Microlife in the Activated Sludge Process," produced by the same group is now in its third printing and can be obtained by contacting Corley at the Rockford address. More than 900 copies of that video so far have been distributed worldwide.
