Project shows value of bank stabilization

Larger Image (JPG 46K file)	The Spring 2003 issue of Environmental Progress included a photo of volunteers planting native plants to stabilize the bank of a lagoon in Springfield's historic Washington Park. At left is a photo of the bank with the new plants thriving. Among those stopping by to admire the results of the IEPA 319 project was this Monarch butterfly.
