Owner Dan Lorentzen tells IEPA Director Renee Cipriano about his plans for a coffeehouse and other retail space at the former Yerbury Dana Drycleaners in Rock Island. IEPA teamed up with local officials to remove environmental contamination. It was one of several brownfields sites in the Illinois Quad Cities visited by Director Cipriano on Dec. 1. On behalf of Governor Blagojevich, she praised the region for being a state and national leader in cleaning up and redeveloping abandoned commercial and industrial sites.
