Environmental Progress - Summer 2005

The 2005 Governors Environmental Corps included 38 summer interns, who worked with IEPA mentors at the Springfield headquarters and several regional offices from June 1-Aug. 5. The program for college students is funded by contributions from Illinois corporations and is in its 14th year.

The IEPA Pollution Prevention Internship Program for 2005 included 20 college students from May 23 to August 12, primarily working with companies and other organizations on pollution prevention and energy efficiency projects. In its 16th year, the program is funded by the participating firms and organizations.
