Manufacturers Rankings by Pounds Recycled
for 2011

For 2011, 104 manufacturers were assigned electronic product recycling goals. Fifty-seven of those manufacturers received credit for recycling 32,466,674 pounds of electronic products. That exceeded the statewide recycling goal set by the Illinois Products Recycling and Reuse Act by 4,310,353 pounds.

Manufacturers that were assigned an Illinois recycling goal were required to submit their amounts collected by January 31, 2012. Of the 57 reporting collection results, 28 exercised the portions of the legislation that allowed adjustments for collecting in underserved counties, refurbishing products for their original intention, and donating to an educational institution. That allowed those manufacturers to be credited with an extra 2,848,325 pounds of materials. The actual amount reported as collected was 29,618,350 pounds.
