Hazardous Waste
In general, a Hazardous Waste Permit is necessary if you store, treat or dispose of hazardous waste. However, no Hazardous Waste Permit is necessary if you only accumulate hazardous waste in containers, tanks or containment buildings at the facility where it is generated and the waste is on-site no more than eighty-nine days. In addition, a special Hazardous Waste Permit, referred to as a Remedial Action Plan permit can be obtained to allow you to store, treat, or dispose of hazardous waste generated during the remediation of a site.
