Contributing Sources to Volatile Organic Material (VOM)
and Nitrogen Oxide (NOx) Emissions in the Chicago Nonattainment Area (NAA)
VOM and NOx emissions data for the years 1990 through 1999 represent
actual emissions levels in the Chicago ozone nonattainment area. Data
for 2007 and 2012 represent projections of emissions based on standard
growth factors and taking into account new control programs that will
be implemented in that time frame, such as the federal NOx SIP Call and
Tier II/low sulfur fuel motor vehicle emissions standards.
