P2 & E2 Internship ProgramPollution Prevention (P2) & Energy Efficiency (E2) Internship ProgramStudent InformationProgram SummaryIn 1989, the Illinois EPA placed its first two intern students to work on pollution prevention (P2) projects at two electroplating facilities in the Chicago area. This year, the Illinois EPA will be hiring at least 10 - 15 qualified students. During the work assignment, the student will be required to submit a biweekly report to our office. At the end of the twelve weeks, each student will be required to submit a final written report and abstract pertaining to the progress made on the assigned P2 and energy efficiency (E2) projects. The session will conclude with oral presentations by all interns.
How to ApplyComplete and submit the electronic on-line application form. You will be asked to submit a 1 to 1-1/2-page resume with the application. Applications will be accepted from mid-August until the end of October for next summer’s internship program. Prescreen interviews will be conducted at several universities throughout the state during the Fall Semester. Please check back periodically for interview dates and times that will be posted on our website. For examples of past intern projects and accomplishments, please refer to the Technical Summaries page of our website. Please NoteInternational students are encouraged to contact the Immigration & Naturalization Services office on campus to obtain approval to participate in this program. |
