Lake Festivals
Lake festivals are educational, family oriented events open to anyone that
may be interested in lakes, their problems and how to address them. Topics may
include shoreline erosion control, aquatic plants, aquatic exotics, fisheries,
boating safety and how a lake “works”. Each festival is tailored
to the interests of the sponsor group. Festivals may have a children’s
lake education area, pontoon boat tours of the lake and food provided by local
organizations. Every lake festival is free to the public.
