Technical Assistance
The passage of Conservation 2000 brought with it the plan to hire
four new lakes program staff. All four staff were in place as of May
1997. These staff are Diane Tancl, 847/294-4000, located in the Agency's
Des Plaines field office, Phyllis Lau, 217/557 8761 in the Springfield
regional office, Steve Kolsto, 217/782-3362, Springfield’s main
office and Mike Bundren, 618/993-7200 in the Marion regional office,
are providing region-wide technical and educational assistance, monitoring
support, and financial assistance coordination to area lake owners
and the general public. The other staff position is located at the
Springfield headquarters office. This position provides educational,
monitoring, and technical assistance primarily through administration
of the Agency's Volunteer Lake Monitoring Program.
