 Two and a half days of educational
sessions, displays and field trips made up the '98 conference of the Illinois Section AWWA
in Springfield March 10-13. Highlighting the annual event was the closing awards banquet,
when individuals and facilities were recognized for outstanding and consistent service to
their industry and their communities. The Gold Water Drop Award, for 50 year members of
the American Water Works Association, was presented to Ray G. Rinehart, Melrose Park. In
addition to a certificate of recognition, awardees received a lapel pin. See story inside.
