Attendance nudged the 1,000 mark for the 67th annual conference of the Illinois Potable Water Supply Operators Association at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Springfield. The event ran from noon on Wednesday, Sept. 16, to noon on Friday, Sept. 18. During the event-filled three days, delegates attended informative sessions providing guidance from experts in their assorted fields, toured rooms filled with exhibits of water-industry-related equipment and services, and capped the event by recognizing three "Operators of the Year" at the annual awards banquet.
