EDMR Trouble Shooting Help

Internet Explorer is the only compatible browser EDMR will currently operate with. Internet Explorer 9 must be ran in Compatibility mode to be able to enter data into the fields. *See "I cannot enter data into the parameter fields" for instructions on how to turn this on.
I cannot log into the EDMR system, and am stuck at the "Authenticate User" page

Hanging at the Authenticate User page means you need a more current version of Java. To update this, please go to www.java.com to download and install the latest version, once set up is complete close your browser and restart a new session. If you are still unable to login, you will need to reset your password.

I received the Error Message “Authenticate User Bad Input”

The Username or password you are entering is not correct. If you do not remember your Username you will need to follow the instructions for resetting your password. The website will list your username, be sure to write it down, then continue on to set up a new password. To reset your State of Illinois Digital ID password, please go to the Illinois Digital Signature roaming profile recovery site.

I can’t get to the website, I get a message stating “Internet Explorer Cannot Display the Webpage”

You may need a newer version of java. Please go to www.java.com, download and install the most current version. Once that has been completed, close your internet browser, reopen a new EDMR session and try logging in again.

You may need to adjust your Internet Explorer Settings. On the toolbar, under “Tools” click on Internet Options, on the Advanced Tab scroll down to the bottom of the screen, locate the icons that begin with Use SSL 2.0, place a check mark in SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, then click “Apply”, then “Okay”, then you may click on the “X” to exit the screen, close your browser, open a new browser and try logging on again.

You may need to adjust your Privacy Settings. Open Internet Explorer , click on Tools, then Internet Options , select the Privacy tab and set the slider bar to MEDIUM, click “Apply”, then “Okay”, then close the browser and reopen a new session.

NODI – No data indicator codes

If you are using a NODI code (No Data Indicator) you will not select or fill out the excursions, frequency, or sample type. Doing so will prevent you from being able to sign your DMR. If you are not reporting data you are not required to fill out the other fields either.

When selecting a NODI for a parameter. Do not select NODI-X, unless you do not have a reason for the test or reporting not being conducted. If there was a problem and the sample or test was not performed you would choose NODI-E, and in the comment section list the reason.  Some parameters are seasonal and not required year round, NODI-9 would be the correct code to use in this situation.

Failure to follow this instruction may result in the system noting a violation, even if there is no violation.

I cannot enter data into the parameter fields

You are using Internet Explorer 9 as your browser, and will need to run in compatibility mode for the program to work. Next to the address bar locate the icon that resembles a torn piece of paper and click on that icon. If you do not see that icon, right click within the gray area on the toolbar until the menu is shown as below. You can select compatibility view button from this menu which should place this next to the address bar.  Running in compatibility mode will allow you to enter your data.

I logged in but don’t have access to any facility information

Did you mail in the User Registration form to IEPA, we need this form to set up your roles for each facility you need access to. If you have not submitted this form, please print the form, complete, and mail in to the address located on the bottom.

I no longer need access to the EDMR system, or my roles need to be adjusted

Please email the EDMR Coordinator with your updated information. EPA.EDMR.Coordinator@illinois.gov
