Data Verification
Engineering Evaluations include a detailed review of previously submitted
operational reports as well as the report in progress at the time of the
evaluation visit. On-site comparisons are made with bench sheets and logs.
Operational report verification findings are included as a separate section
on the evaluation report sent to the owner of the supply. Operators are
required to demonstrate performance of required testing such as disinfection
concentration, fluoride residual measurement, measurement to field personnel.
Instruction regarding proper completion of both testing and measurement
procedures and reporting forms is given at the time of the evaluation,
and deficiencies and instruction provided are noted in the evaluation
report. Follow-up inspections are made as time permits whenever the validity
of reported information is in question.
