How Do I Become a Secure User?
Source Water Assessment information is presented in strict compliance
with Illinois EPA's security policy on the release of sensitive information.
Illinois EPA's security policy allows for the release of locational information
to Federal, state, or local government officials, and consultants who
have completed and received an approved Confidentiality
Agreement (PDF version, 52KB). Further, consultants must provide a
letter from their chief executive officer requesting access along with
a list of employee's that will be utilizing the system. The following
steps are required to obtain access to the Illinois EPA's secure source
water assessment and protection site:
- Complete the Illinois EPA's Confidentiality Agreement; or
- If you are a consultant, you must also include a letter from your
chief executive officer and a listing of employees and their e-mail
addresses for those that will be utilizing the system; and
- Provide the information required above to our Freedom of Information
Act Coordinator (FOIA) at:

- The consulting firm will be provided with a tracking number, login,
and password;
- State, federal or local government official will be provided with
a login and password; and
- Persons who lose their login and/or password must provide a copy of
their confidentially agreement to receive a new password and/or login.
