The Agency has prepared a draft list of impaired waters for the year 2002 to fulfill the requirements set forth in Section 303(d) of the federal Clean Water Act and the Water Quality Planning and Management regulation at 40 CFR Part 130. A public hearing will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday September 11, 2002, to provide an opportunity for the public to comment on the draft report. The report also provides information about the Total Maximum Daily Load program/process in Illinois.
The draft report, maps of impaired waters, and the hearing notice may be accessed above. Comments must be postmarked before midnight October 11, 2002.
