Action Team to Coordinate Response to Groundwater Contamination in Downers
Grove Vicinity
- At the request of Governor George H. Ryan, local and state governmental
agencies have been asked to participate on an Action Team that will
coordinate response to the groundwater contamination issues resulting
from sampling of private wells by the Illinois EPA in unincorporated
areas near Downers Grove.

Issued to Allow Construction of Perry Ridge Landfill
- The Illinois EPA has issued a permit for the construction of a new

of the first cell of a new landfill. The landfill, named Perry Ridge
Landfill, will be located three miles northwest of DuQuoin in Perry
County.
